I have been following you all the way since you left the Canaries and am really excited that soon you will smell the land and the steak and chips with a chilled beer.
Once you give us a rough ETA at Port Charles I'll turn on their webcam and hopefully see you arrive. Good luck, enjoy the last few days, you'll be sad/glad when it's over. Look after yourself. Carol

our family is in Barbados,on vacation. WE happened to be at The Northern tip of the island today, where we met your very proud parents. What an amazing journey you have chosen! We will have you in our prayers until you arrive safely on the island

So good to read your very welcome blog a few minutes ago.I is all so and thrilling to think that in a few days you have reached your goal. You are just around the corner to Barbados,what a wonderful and may`be,yes unbelievable moent when you see the lights of the shoreline.You and your very strong and great little rowing boat Ked Endeavour ,which has been you constant companion every inch of the way and bringing you safely through all the elements and trials you met on your way. What a team......We are all who have followed tremendously proud and amazed by what you have achieved, showing us all that everything is possible if you believe in yourself and have the courage to put a dream into action.You never gave or give up even at times there must have been very though frightening moments,when you wondered if you had taken on too much,but with God`s help(if you believe in him)and your own strenght of character,you never gave up,what an inspiration you are to us all young and old. Your little old Irish fan here in Bodø Norway is so proud of you.This has all been a completely new experience for me. When I read about your solo row,I wanted to help you along in my way.Following your blogs, getting to know from your blogs and sharing in a kind of way your life onboard,becoming an expert!!on weather map and route etc,able to share your very interesting blogs and from your family and friends and followers.I felt that I knew you in a kind of way. Here in Bodø they call me the `little Irish sparrow" so happy that I could fly in over you and wish you well. Hi Tommy. Your last update made a great lunchtime read back at work. Glad to hear progress is good and you are now so close to the end. Can't believe you are thinking of slowing down! Another (belated) April fool hopefully!! Keep it up.

I've following you across the Atlantic and am in awe of your achievement. Was with 3 out of 4 of the Corinthians team at the weekend and they send their good wishes and cheers to the final push to Barbados. Keep safe and row well, and all the very very best for those final miles.

How will it feel to watch the sun set tomorrow? You must be churning inside to think of reaching land and ending this mammoth journey. You have been an inspiration to us all and a constant reminder to focus on one day at a time. I hope your food has lasted out but you can probably smell the steak and chips now that you are so close! I hope the aeroplane found you today and you could talk to your family, how fantastic is that?!
Our lives will be very dull with no updates every day and no map to watch your progress on, it has been so exciting!
We shall be keeping an eye on the Port St Charles webcam in the hope of seeing you live so give us a wave!

Think for a fantastisk experience to see your family flying overhead in a small plane.
